Our Vision
To See A World Reached For Jesus
In Matthew 28:19, Jesus called all believers to "go and make disciples." We take this commission seriously, and as as result, our vision can be summed up succinctly as "Evangelize, Equip, & Empower." Our intention is not to provide a place where people are simply entertained or fill a seat on Sunday, but rather one where people would be challenged to grow and step out into the ministry that God has called them to. We believe that the most effective way we can reach this world for Jesus is to raise up Christians who are mature and relase them in to their calling, whether that be serving in the local church or planting churches of their own!
Evangelize
How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? Romans 10:14
All of mankind is in a bad place from the moment they are born. They are broken, seperated from God, and in desperate need of a savior. As believers, we have something they need; we have hope. As a church corporately, and as individuals, our desire is to introduce people to the love of God and share the message of salvation. Salvation is a gift, but how will they take hold of it if we don't share the good news with them?
Equip
Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ Ephesians 4:15
While we do desire to grow numerically, our primary purpose in winning people to the Lord is not to fill seats. We want to see people grow into the men and women of God they are called to be. Everyone of us were created for a purpose and God has a plan for our lives. In order to help people fulfill that plan and purpose, we desire to provide opportunites for people to learn and grow in their faith, as well as challenge them to be who God intended them to be. This is accomplished not only through Sunday service, but by participating in bible studies, discipleship courses, small groups, and various outreaches to the community. Finally, we believe the greatest way to grow as a Christian is to build relationships with other mature Christians and walk along beside them.
Empower
And what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. 2 Timothy 2:2
We believe that every person was fearfully and wonderfully made for a purpose. After maturing and training in the local church, our goal is to empower and release people into their ministry and calling. For some, this will be to continue serving in a leadership capacity in the local church, but for others, this will mean stepping out as full time evangalists or missionaries. But ultimately, we have a desire and a vision to raise up Pastors and plant new churches.
